The Alkema Family
When mom Lindsay first contacted me to do a session she let me know that this was their first "real" photography session. What an honor! I wanted to make it the best experience I possibly could and I hope they enjoyed the outing as much as I did.
The Alkema family lives in the area of this great old farm in Parker, Colorado. Mom Lindsay suggested we do their family photos there and I found it to be the perfect little spot for them.
A bit of history: 17 Mile Farm House is one of the last standing mile marker homes in the Denver area. These farms were used in the good 'ole days to count the number of miles from Colfax (the main thoroughfare in the rush days) out. This particular farm was noted for serving food and providing weary travelers a place to sleep. In turn there are barns with character, fields of gold and beautiful backdrops here.
